Marco Antonio Solís

With more than 40 million copies of their albums sold and more than 9 million monthly listeners on digital platforms,, Marco Antonio Solís is undoubtedly one of the most important figures in the global rise of Mexican and Latin music throughout the last two decades of the 20th century. Born in Michoacán, Mexico, Solís started his first group, Los Hermanitos Solís, when he was just 12 years old, along with his brother Joel. He was still a teenager when he formed his band Los Bukis in the early 1970s.

For the next two decades, Los Bukis would leave an indelible mark on Norteño and Tejano music in Mexico and the American Southwest. Although Solís continued to work closely with Los Bukis, he embarked on a solo career that led him to obtain platinum records for his works Quiéreme, Inalcanzable and Por Amor a Mi Pueblo. Later, Trozos de Mi Alma arrived in 1999. For the new millennium, Solís arrived with a live collection, En Vivo y En Vivo, Vol. 2. His next album, Más de Mi Alma, released in 2001, became a bestseller, just like his previous works.

Solís' recent tour announcement comes shortly after nine legendary concerts with Los Bukis. The “Una Historia Cantada” tour of the US celebrated the group's reunion after 25 years of being off stage, and brought together more than 480,000 fans who enjoyed these historic live shows.
